Do you believe there is more to life than what you are currently experiencing?

What are you looking for in life? How will you achieve it? Who do you need in your journey?

We probably have all asked ourselves these questions.

It is my desire to assist you on this journey of expanding your life, leadership and legacy.

The constant pursuit of more has no shortage of existence and people for 100’s of years has pursued their version of a better life. Nothing wrong with wanting or having more.

I want to ask you, who is it for?

In order to expand your life, leadership and legacy I believe the following 3 aspects are crucial to achieving all that you want in life.

1. Grow yourself.

We all have been dealt with a standard set of abilities, resources or attributes. Some people say there is not much we can do with what we have. I want to challenge you, there is!

You need to find a way to make yourself bigger and better in what you do, who you are and where you want to go.

What are the things you are currently doing to make yourself bigger or better (take time now and write them down)? It’s not just about doing certain things but keeping the focus and intensity on it to see real results.

Increase your ability, capacity, thinking, creativity, thought pattern and your habits. Working daily on some of these aspects will bring growth to your life.

What can you do to grow in the above areas?

If you don’t value yourself, no one else will. You must place yourself first. It is not about being arrogant or selfish, but you have to focus on you and your growth first before you can lead others.

I like the example of when you are flying on a plane and they show you in the safety video who you should place the oxygen mask on. First yourself, then you help others. The stronger, better and bigger you are on the inside, the more you can help others grow.

Your current capacity cannot hold your future destiny

You have to grow. You have to grow! Where you need to be in 10 years from now cannot be achieved with your current capacity.

Read books from different authors and industries. Read biographies, it will give you a vocabulary to overcome tremendous odds. Read articles and consume any form of material that’s in line with the area you want to grow in.

2. Extend your influence.

Make a conscious decision that you want to grow. You are reading this blog because you want more, you decided to grow yourself. That gives you access to more.

It’s only when you grow your ability and capacity that you will sit in bigger rooms.

Take what you have and learn how to package it. Someone out there needs what you have, what you know and what you carry.

Your influence comes from who you are and what you have to offer but also from your past success. Look at what you have achieved in your life and strategically plan how to extend that.

If you were living in a house that you wanted to extend, you would look at what you currently have and what you can do to maximize the value of the house by adding to the existing building.

For the ladies out there, if you want to clean the house with a vacuum cleaner without having to constantly insert the plug in a different power socket, you would need to use an extension. It will give you the same power and ability, at a longer range or a bigger area.

If you grow yourself, your influence will grow. With your influence growing you will be in bigger rooms where you will learn new and greater principles and lessons that will once again grow you. As you grow your influence grows and you grow, and your influence grows … and you get the picture.

You can effectively influence those around you through what you have learned about yourself and others. Look back at your life, your failures, your achievements. There are gold nuggets that has helped shaped you and extended your influence far beyond what was possible.

Meet new people, start to network. Your influence is locked up in your current circle of friends, family and people you know. Start building strategic relationship with people that you aspire to be like or have achieved what you set out to do.

3. Develop your potential.

Once you have mastered the two aspects of growing yourself and growing your influence, start to develop a process and habits of consistently working on your potential.

You have giftings and abilities that you’re not even aware of. It is locked up on the inside of you. You need to work it through. Dig deep, search it out. Be sold out to you.

Ever since I was a child, I had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential. – Bruce Lee

The process of expansion is when your future potential and reality meets.

Your potential and your reality will always clash. You’re not ready, it’s too soon, wait a little longer. Its time you step out and start working on your potential. You know there is that something magical, special and unique about you. Start developing it, test it, see what you are capable off.

If you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else? Let that what makes you unique be the driving force to achieve more.

You have to stretch yourself, do things you’ve never done before. See different places, experience different thing. Not only the things you like but take a step into some new adventures. You have to push yourself to the edge of what you think is possible, there you will find the beginning of new dimensions of what is possible.

Action Plan

When I was growing up as a young boy, my parents use to measure our height in the kitchen. We would stand with our backs against the tiles and my dad would make a mark with a knife in the grout so we could see how we measured up to the other brothers. Every time we grew higher, we were so excited to see our progress. In 2018 when my parent sold the house, I went back there to help them move. As I walked through the kitchen, there it was, all the little holes in the grout between the tiles. Since 1995 my parents kept track of our growth. How amazed I was to see where we use to be. Such small little boys have grown into mature men. We know this because of those little holes in between the tiles of the kitchen we grew up in.

I never thought that those small little increments of growth would result in me understanding the power of tracking your growth.

Break the captivity of stagnation that has kept you dormant

You might feel you have stagnated in your personal growth. Unless you are tracking your progress, you will never really know how you are progressing. There is nothing wrong in realizing, Hey! I’m behind, I haven’t grown, I’m stagnating. The problem is when you know that and do nothing about it in order to change.

The fact that you aren’t where you want to be, should give you enough motivation. -Zig Ziglar

How will you map out your growth plan? Don’t have one, let me help you!! I need a growth plan.
