About Christo Pretorius

I believe that I would not be able to call myself successful unless others have benefited from my life. We cannot claim success unless one’s life impacts another for the better

MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe there’s a capacity for leadership potential inside every person, just waiting to be unlocked. Leadership isn’t something reserved for a select few, but part of who we are, built into our design. My heart is to help people uncover and develop that potential, so they can grow in size (internally and personally), extend their influence in the world around them, and develop a plan to execute their vision with clarity and purpose.

Your current capacity is not your ceiling. I believe everyone has more inside

Grow In Size

Your current capacity is not your ceiling. I believe everyone has more inside — and I exist to bring that out.

Extend Your Influence

Influence isn’t always loud — but it’s always intentional. Let’s leverage your story and strength to lead well.

Develop a Plan to Execute

Greatness without execution is wasted potential. Let's create a plan for you that turns vision into legacy.

about Christo

Born in 1982 on a rainy Sunday morning, Christo Pretorius met the world with a devastating reality: “Your son will never live a normal life.”
With a cyst on his lungs and a weak immune system, doctors said he would never live a normal life and recommended that he be kept indoors.

Defying the odds, Christo went on to travel to India, Zimbabwe, England, and across various provinces in South Africa, excelling as a cricket player throughout his schooling career.
However, after receiving a devastating diagnosis of a brain aneurism, his sporting career—and lifelong dream of playing for his country’s national cricket team, came to a staggering halt.

What seemed like the end of one dream led to the discovery of a greater purpose. Christo surrendered his life to Christ and dedicated himself to helping people grow stronger in their relationship with Him while discovering their own purpose in life.

Leading people and assisting them in building the life they desire has been a journey that’s come full circle, from the early days of leading his team to victory after victory on the cricket field, to now leading individuals, teams, and business owners toward success and fulfillment.

From 2004 to 2023, Christo served full-time in ministry at NBCFC under the leadership of Apostle Nicky and Pastor Lillian van der Westhuizen. This nearly two-decade journey not only refined his calling as a minister of the Gospel, but deeply shaped his ability to serve churches and ministries with insight and wisdom that reflects the heart of God.

Christo holds a bachelor’s degree in ministry from Christian Family Church International and is a certified coach, trainer, and speaker with the world-renowned John Maxwell Team.

In 2016, Christo founded Chrisp Corp (Pty) Ltd with the sole aim of helping people live up to their full potential. His clients have experienced continual growth in their businesses, increased revenue, and significant personal development — all as a result of growing their leadership capacity. With his unique way of asking the right questions and driving mindset change, every session with Christo will bring about deep thought and alignment.

In 2023, with a clear instruction and mandate from the Lord, Christo transitioned into part-time ministry at NBCFC, where he continues to serve faithfully in alignment with his spiritual calling. This shift has allowed him to fully focus on the vision of Chrisp Corp — expanding its reach, deepening its impact, and equipping individuals, teams, and organizations to rise into their full leadership capacity. His work now bridges both ministry and marketplace, unlocking potential wherever purpose is waiting to be awakened.

Leadership isn’t for the few, it’s in you too

Anneke isn’t just Christo’s wife she’s his closest friend, steady encourager, and the person who’s walked every high and low by his side. Since getting married in 2012, their relationship has grown through real-life challenges and seasons that have shaped them into a strong, united team. They’ve learned, laughed, and built together and through it all, their bond has only deepened.

In 2023, they welcomed their son, Christo a moment that brought new joy, fresh perspective, and a deeper sense of purpose. Despite the demands of their professional lives and business responsibilities, they count it a joy to be actively involved in his life. From early mornings to bedtime routines, they embrace every moment of parenting with gratitude and intentionality. He is the light of their lives — full of energy, curiosity, and delight.

Christo’s foundation was built long before his professional journey began. Raised in a Christian home, the influence of his parents played a defining role in shaping his character. Values like integrity, hard work, humility, and family weren’t just spoken about, they were modelled. Growing up with three brothers meant there was always noise, energy, and healthy competition. Together, they sharpened one other and built strong relationships that is reflective in Christo’s life today.

Sport and the outdoors remain an important part of his life. From completing the intense 4x4x48 Goggins Challenge, to cold plunging, half marathons, Warrior Races, golfing, and hunting — Christo thrives in environments that challenge the body and stretch the mind. Nature, for him, is often where perspective returns, clarity comes, and strength is renewed.

Whether working with leaders, building his business, or simply being present with his family, Christo brings the same energy, intention, and focus.

His well-known saying, “A good loser is a constant loser,” is more than just words — it’s a reflection of his drive to show up fully, give his best, and do what he is called to do with excellence.
